Tutorial 15: Hide or Unhide Columns or Rows
This video tutorial shows you a simple way to conceal information in an Excel worksheet by hiding columns or rows.
Two common reasons why it is useful to hide columns or rows are:
- The rows or columns contain information that you do not want to publish because it is secret or because because the information does not help the understanding of the reader of the published worksheet; and
- The worksheet is large and you may wish to remove some columns (which are not that important) to make the worksheet fit better on a printout page.
Although rows and columns may be hidden, the worksheet will function just the same with all calculations.
It is important to be able to unhide rows and columns as well and the video will show you how. Allow 10 seconds for the video to load.
