This video tutorial should also be watched in conjunction with Tutorial 23 "Creating IF Functions" to show how Check Boxes can be used to make worksheets user friendly.

Inserting a check box into an Excel WorksheetThe use of Check Boxes in this manner is a useful technique for enabling the user of Microsoft Excel to turn on and turn off, or hide and unhide or switch between two alternatives. A check box can be used, for example, in a worksheet where the user selects a product from a list. If the product is selected, details about the product are reveal. Another example might be when a financial model has been constructed using Excel, and by ticking the check box a strategy is adopted and its financial consequences are evaluated.
